How to Buy a Flag or Banner

Flags and garden banners are used to create a festive, celebratory feeling around your home and to display patriotism or loyalty to your nation, armed forces, or state. They can be permanently displayed on a flag pole, or easily changed throughout the year.

We offer a wide selection of patriotic flags to choose from: American flags, military flags, state flags, and international flags. A Flag Pole Set with everything you need to set up a patriotic display makes a wonderful addition to your home. Military flags proudly exhibit the sacrifice a military household has made for our country, whether the serviceman or servicewoman is active or retired. Flags are available for each branch of the military, as well as a POW / MIA flag. International flags are a wonderful way to honor your ancestry! We offer a variety of mailbox poles and flag poles that so you can choose the best way to present your flag, include adjustable wall-mounted flag holders that let you fly a banner from the side of your home.

Garden banners are a fun way to celebrate holidays, seasons, and special occasions! These banners can be changed throughout the year as an easy way to update your home with the changing seasons.

The size of a flag is very important. American flags have a good rule of thumb that works well with other flags too. The flag should be at least ¼ of the height of the flag’s pole. The size of the pole you use will also be determined in this way.

When selecting a flag, be sure to consider how it will be mounted to the pole. Some flags are sleeved, which means they will have a sewn-in pocket from top to bottom of the short side, and can be slipped over a pole. Other flags will only have grommets in the top, bottom, and possibly middle of the short side.

The lifespan of a flag depends primarily on the material from which it is made. No flag lasts forever. It may be more economical to purchase a smaller or lower-priced flag and replace it more often than to spend a great deal on a larger or more costly flag that may only last a little longer. All flags will fade and need repair. The sun and rain are catalysts for flag deterioration. Synthetic materials may actually hold up better than natural ones; however, they will be the first to fade. Cotton will remain brighter longer but tends to suffer more from exposure to rain and mildew.

Flags can be a fun and fabulous way to show off your personality. Express how you feel about your country, beliefs, or simply a fun holiday with a flag today!
